Pub crawl in Oslo – guide and tips

A pub crawl is an evening where you visit several bars or pubs in sequence, usually within walking distance. Our planner gives you a head start with fresh prices, happy hour data and ready-made routes around Oslo.

How to use the planner

Pick one of PilsPosten's curated routes, or switch to "Build your own" to set your own filters. Choose the day and time and the planner will factor in happy hour discounts when ranking stops.

You can combine neighbourhoods, exclude bars you want to skip, and pin must-include venues. Hit "Calculate route" and open the whole crawl in Google Maps when you're happy.

Tips for a great Oslo pub crawl

Happy hour in Oslo usually runs between 3pm and 8pm. Placing the first stops inside that window makes prices easier to compare and the total bill more predictable.

Stick to one area – Grünerløkka, the city centre or Grønland all work as bases with short walks between stops. If you need to cross town, take the metro or city bikes instead of taxis.

Mix 0.4L and 0.5L servings. We normalise to a half-litre price for fair comparison, but ordering smaller glasses later in the night helps your pace.

Frequently asked questions

How many stops should I plan? Three to six is typical. Four or five tends to leave room for food and conversation along the way.

Are the prices accurate? Data is submitted and refreshed regularly, but prices can change without notice. Always double-check the menu when you arrive if you're price-sensitive.

Can I share my route? Yes – copy the URL after pressing "Calculate route". The link contains all your selections.
